The Caring Place Awarded Grant by St. David's Foundation:

Did you know The Caring Place was a recent recipient of a grant from St. David's Foundation?  You can find that along with other exciting news in the News & Events section of our website!

There's a new way to give in town: Randalls just opened up at Williams Drive and Jim Hogg Road.  Most customers obtain a "Remarkable Card" in order to receive discounts on certain items.  You can also link this card to The Caring Place as your designated charity so that 1% of your purchases are donated right here locally!  See below for form and charity number (13870).  You can print this form and take it to the Randalls Courtesy booth.

You can give items for our thrift shops:   The Caring Place is regularly voted as the best place to give and volunteer in Georgetown.  Part of that giving includes the giving of housewares and clothing for our two thrift shops.  We use items to help meet needs of neighbors, and to raise funds for operating costs, programs and services.  We have a convenient donation drive through open Monday through Saturday, 9am-4pm.

Amplify Austin is Coming Up:   Amplify Austin is a 24-hour giving event on March 1st at 6pm to March 2nd at 6pm.  The phrase most heard in regards to this day of giving is "I live here.  I give here."  The Caring Place encourages you to give locally too, and what better place to give than right here in your community.  You'll see us encouraging giving right on our own  Facebook page  during the Amplify Austin event, but you can always give on our  website too.  Thank you for supporting The Caring Place, so that we may help our neighbors in need.

You Can Volunteer:   We LOVE our volunteers.  We make it easy to volunteer at The Caring Place.  Twice a month we hold a Volunteer Orientation over lunch that includes information, tour and other volunteer information.  We'll get you set up finding the job that works for your interests and schedule.  Call Rita at 512-943-0702 or...
