Black History Month Author Visit & Book Discussion

Thursday, February 13 at 6:30 pm

Our Black History Month read is Coleman Hill, by local writer Kim Coleman Foote. The author will join us for the discussion!

Coleman Hill is the exhilarating story of two American families whose fates become intertwined in the wake of the Great Migration. Braiding fact and fiction, it is a tour de force exploring the ties that bind three generations. The book, inspired by her family’s journey from Alabama and Florida to Vauxhall, New Jersey, circa 1916–80s, examines the rarely told stories of black migrants in the Northern suburbs.
