February 2024

For the first eNews of 2024, we remember and look back at the life of WILPF member Caroline Peery. Hear about the work of the new Miami Mujeres branch from the perspective of member Eva, a high school junior who feels passionately about her work with WILPF. There's also an account of Palestinian activist Khalida Jarrar, who was arrested again on Dec 26. We look at the history of what's been happening in Gaza in light of the recent International Court of Justice preliminary ruling on whether Israel's actions in Gaza should be considered genocide. WILPF US is hiring for two new positions, a Field Organizer and a Project Manager/Scheduler. There's also a reminder to start planning for the next WILPF Congress - have you started looking for a roommate? Find out about what WILPF DMV members have been doing in the Capitol. Also, the Jane Addams first virtual branch meeting is now live on YouTube. Read below to see all this amazing work being done by members!
