This past weekend, the Board of Directors and a few of the IMSA staff met in Reno for mid-winter meetings at the
Peppermill Resort
- host of the
2020 IMSA Forum & Expo
. Over two full days, the Board plowed through 117 pages of meeting agenda and will be ready to share updates on the meeting minutes soon.
We also conducted a site visit at the Peppermill to determine placement of the tech sessions, classes, and other activities happening during the event. In the evenings, the board had the chance to explore the venue and ensure that the dining, cocktail lounges, cafes, Mediterranean-inspired pools, and the sprawling casino would be up to par for IMSA attendees.
I couldn't wait though to share this unreal view (above) with you. I had a couple hours free after the site layout planning session, so I rented a car right in the hotel, and took a quick 30-minute drive over to the Donner Lake Overlook in North Tahoe. I couldn't believe how easy it was to reach such a spectacular site. With the conference taking place right after the July 4th weekend, it's the perfect time to enjoy the holiday in an
unbelievable destination
AND be productive.
Of course there is much more to see. We are in the planning process for exciting additions to the event including thought leader discussions and a fun networking night. Stay tuned for those announcements.
