February 2024

LaGrange Association Library

1110 Route 55, LaGrangeville

A Note from the Director

Mary De Bellis

We thank Arlington High School students Ally and Bridget for creating an informative video about the Library for their TV Production class. Great press for us! View it here.

Renovations are underway for the expansion of the Children's Room. We look forward to having them completed by late spring/early summer. In the meantime, pardon our appearance! We welcome your child's artwork to decorate the current temporary wall and change it from blah to beautiful! Just have them color/paint a picture provided at the Library or bring one from home and they can hang it on a pretty wall frame.

The Library's Capital Campaign is ongoing to raise funds for the final phase of renovations which will expand the main library by approximately 2,000 square feet. While the Library does receive some funding from various grants and New York State construction aid, it is only through the generous support of our donors that the Library can reach its full physical potential to provide optimal services, programs, and materials to the community.

Click here for more information on how you can support the Capital Campaign - donations of any amount are gratefully appreciated.

Thank you!

The Library is now open at 9:30 a.m. on Fridays, instead of 2:00 p.m., affording more convenient access to the community! Closing time is 8:00 p.m. as usual.

Spring Chair Yoga Series

Join us for our 8-week spring chair yoga series with the wonderful Suzanne Turrisi. Classes will be held every Friday at 10 a.m., March 15 - May 3. Chair yoga is a gentle form practiced while sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. You'll learn calming postures and breathing techniques to open energy channels, release tension, and alleviate pain. Chair yoga is great for improving physical comfort, cultivating balance, and moving easily through daily activities. Chairs will be provided.

Register in person at the Circulation Desk with your

non-refundable payment of $40 for the 8-week series.
