The City of Montpelier welcomed legislators' return to Montpelier for the 2020 legislative session. More than 200 people, including legislators, city officials, and Montpelier business sponsors attended the reception, while 11 Montpelier restaurants provided samples of their favorite menu items.

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce invites you to play an important part in the 2020 Workforce and Talent Summit. They are seeking informative, relevant and engaging presentation proposals that utilize a variety of interactive formats. They are not accepting proposals that focus on program awareness.
The summit will focus on promoting the long-term economic health of our state. The event will feature 22 seminars providing tools to support talent recruitment, retention strategies, business-to-business partnerships, educational and training opportunities, and more.

Col. Mark Anarumo as 24th president
Norwich University Board of Trustees Chairman, Alan DeForest '75, announced that Col. Mark Anarumo, USAF, will become Norwich University's 24th president effective June 1, 2020.
Anarumo comes to Norwich from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he served as Director and Permanent Professor for the Center for Character and Leadership Development. Anarumo's previous assignment was Vice Commander of the 39th Air Base Wing at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, where he was responsible for approximately 5,000 U.S. military, civilian and contractor personnel and the combat readiness of U.S. Air Force units at Incirlik and four geographically separated units in Turkey.

Norwich University Opening New Facility in Denver, CO
Norwich University's College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) announced the opening of a new office in downtown Denver in early 2020. The new location serves Norwich's four key initiatives to support the educational demands of the growing workforce in that region, which are to better serve adult learners in the Denver area, provide Colorado high school students and parents a location where they can learn more about Norwich's undergraduate degree programs available at the Northfield, VT campus, provide residential students in the Northfield, VT campus an opportunity to engage in internships in the Denver region, and to leverage Colorado's education transformation culture for Norwich's Partridge Model of Education-to-Workforce that connects students from high school to employment.
Located at 901 Auraria Parkway, the Norwich Denver office will officially open on March 25, 2020. The public is invited to an open house of new facility from 10:30am to noon on March 25. During this event, visitors can meet with support advisors to learn about Norwich's online and residential programs and receive a free credit transfer evaluation for the online bachelor's degree programs. The grand opening day will also feature a private event in the evening hosted by President Schneider and Norwich University Board of Trustees Chairman Alan DeForest '75, which will include an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The CGCS will continue to maintain an office on Norwich's Northfield, VT campus.
