Need access to office-related equipment and/or services? Let us assist! We can help you print (from your computer or ours, or from your phone), scan, fax, and photocopy. We even have a notary on staff. (Best to call for her availability in advance, as she's not in the building every day.) The Library also offers two study/conference rooms, which are available by reservation and/or on a walk-in basis. Need to meet as a big group? We've got a large space for that, too, which is available by advance reservation. Email with questions or to book your date for that one! Craft Room Fun: STEAM Saturdays for kids!

STEM Saturdays are back! Join us this Saturday, February 4, for STEM Club and STEM Jr. Little kids (STEM Jrs.) meet at 10 a.m. and will be exploring magnets. Bigger kiddos meet at 1 p.m. and will be exploring forts and catapults. Get ready to attack the fort, STEM clubbers! ICYMI: STEM Club is for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade, and STEM Club Jr. is geared toward kids ages 3-5 (and their grown-ups). STEM/STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Each of these sessions will focus on a different topic and will include stories and hands-on experimentation. Join us on March 22 for a Storybook Tea!

Hey kids! Join us over Spring Break for a celebration of your favorite books at a special, mid-week Storybook Tea Party! That's Wed, Mar 22, at 2 p.m. Tea time! If you want, come dressed as your favorite storybook character. We'll enjoy some tea and cookies, play games, and make crafts--and we'll chat about our favorite storybooks, of course. And just a reminder! NKCPL offers regular weekly Storytimes! While kiddos of all ages are welcome at Storytime, these sessions are especially geared toward preschool-aged littles. No registration required! Join us on Tuesdays @ 5:30 p.m. and Wednesdays @ 10 a.m. for Pre-k Storytime. These sessions include read-alouds, songs/movement, and a super-simple craft/activity. If you want, plan to stay after for Stay-and-Play time with LEGOS/Duplos. Sometimes NKC Schools' Parents as Teachers will join us during this time and provide educational toys for infants and toddlers and creative play kits for toddlers and preschoolers.  Interested in Sensory playtimes? Join us twice monthly on Friday mornings for sensory-oriented play sessions geared toward neuro-diverse, pre-k-aged kiddos. Find those February dates and details here. Drop in for LEGO fun (or stick around after Storytime) on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8 p.m., or join us from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday mornings. LEGOs are provided, and kiddos of all ages are welcome. No registration required!

Want to start a new project or learn a rewarding new skill? Consider sewing! There's always something new to make, or a new technique to explore. And with access to the Library's in-house sewing studio, you can expand your knowledge all year long--absolutely free! This month, we've got three classes on the docket, all taught by instructor Patty Ibarra: Make a Cozy Casserole Dish Cover Wed, Feb 8 from 6-9 pm OPEN SEW Tues, Feb 14 from 10 am-1 pm Intro to the Sewing Machine, Serger, and Embroidery Machine + Open Sew Wed, Feb 22 from 6-9 pm At this time, these sewing classes are for adult sewists only.
