Wednesday Volunteer Day
Help care for the sanctuary and enjoy a few hours of fresh air, fun and fulfillment. Come once or every week and become part of our growing group of sanctuary volunteers. Together with Sanctuary Director Deb Cary and other Mass Audubon staff, put up signs and markers, look for wildlife tracks, pick up branches, and fill the bird feeders. Projects are primarily outside. Some tasks may require heavy lifting. Ability to work without supervision required. Carpentry skills welcome. Nature lovers appreciated.

Snowshoing
If you can walk, you can snowshoe! We'll teach you how to use snowshoes and practice in our field before heading out onto the trails. If Mother Nature does not provide us with enough snow, we will go for a hike. Bring your own snowshoes or rent them for an additional $2 per pair. YouthSpark Camp: Create Digital Art with Fresh Paint 
In this free hands-on 2 hour camp, students 8-12 will learn to create and share their own digital art with the Fresh Paint app for Windows 10. They'll explore the basics of Fresh Paint, using lifelike oil and watercolors, pastels, and more to craft their own creations. They'll also get a sneak peek of advanced digital art skills like mixing paint and layering media. Discovering Dark Matter
Giant telescopes opened humanity's eyes to a vast universe of glowing stars and galaxies. But as these instruments became more advanced, astronomers began to suspect there was something else out there that even their telescopes couldn't see: dark matter. Staff will be on hand to guide discussion of this complex and unfamiliar topic. This film is a great introduction to this topic and does not require a specific science background. However, its content is intended for those in high school and above. Free event, registration required.

Sledding Map MetroWest
Is there snow on the ground? If so, sledding is an active and FREE activity that can take you and your Little outside for a snowy thrill. 
Locations include: the thrilling sled at Jericho Hill in Marlborough, a former ski slope; the fun for all ages hill at Callahan State Park in Framingham; and a bunny hill at Johnson School in Natick.

Exhibition: Bandits and Heroes
Exhibit explores the ways that ancient cultures of Africa blended with indigenous and colonial Portuguese traditions for more than 500 years to form the vibrant cultural mosaic of modern Brazil. These diverse cultures have contributed to the resilience and vitality of the people of the Northeast of Brazil. Public Skating on the Worcester Common Oval
The Worcester Common Oval opened for the Winter season with the annual Festival of Lights on Friday, December 2, 2016. Regular hours of operation are Fridays 5 PM to 8 PM, Saturdays 1 PM to 6 PM and Sundays 1 PM to 6PM. Admission is $5 and skate rentals are available for $2. EcoTarium Fun: Turtle Travels!
