ROW Tree Planting Project
| The 50 live oaks purchased by Residents of Old Wilmington (ROW) are in the ground and they stretch from Red Cross to Queen Streets. Each of the new trees has been marked with bright blue ribbons. ROW is asking for help from neighbors who can stretch their garden hoses out to water them, or other folks who can get buckets of water to supply them during especially dry spells. The trees can suffer or die from a lack of water. If you notice any trees that are not being cared for and you don't know anyone in the area to call upon, please contact ROW President Robert Erb.
ROW is also looking for any individual, companies or non-profits who might be interested in helping with the purchasing of live oaks for the 5th Avenue Reforestation Project. Please contact Robert Erb or Brion Capo, Urban Arborist (341-0078) for more information. Click here to view more photos of the project.
