Healthy You Classes & Events

Heart Walk & Talk

A free monthly walking group led by the heart-health experts at Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute meets 3:30-4:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month. Mark your calendar to join us next month on the path behind the emergency department at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.


Diabetes Support Group 

Mark your calendar to join this group for people with diabetes and their support persons from 5-6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute’s demonstration kitchen in Springfield. For questions or to sign up, email cjacobson3@peacehealth.org


Stroke Support Group

Life after a stroke isn't easy. Talking to others who have been through a stroke may help. Mark your calendar to join one or both of the support groups offered by PeaceHealth:

  • First Wednesday of every month. This meeting offers various speakers and an opportunity to connect with other stroke survivors. 2-3:30 p.m. The group meets in person. (November meeting is cancelled.)
  • Third Wednesday of every month. A social support meeting to share stories by stroke survivors and caregivers. 10:30 a.m.-noon. Currently, meeting virtually.
