BREAKING NEWS: MARGOT TO STEP DOWN
The Board of Directors of IPPS-ER announces Margot Bridgen’s 2020 retirement. There are heavy hearts all around, but we’re also happy that she will soon have more time for fun. Margot has served as Eastern Region’s Executive Secretary-Treasurer for almost 26 years with much grace, integrity and humor. The International Plant Propagators’ Society-Eastern Region of North America (IPPS-ER), a non-profit association of plant propagation and production professionals, is seeking an Executive Secretary/ Treasurer. The Executive Secretary/Treasurer is responsible for managing the financial, program and business affairs of IPPS-ER and serves as the primary point of contact. Application deadline March 1st. EASTERN REGION FUNDS HRI RESEARCH GRANTS
The IPPS Eastern Region supports research through its fund with the Horticultural Research Institute, (HRI), the research division of AmericanHort. Each year, IPPS grants are awarded by HRI to fund research projects carefully selected by IPPS and HRI. Funding to support internship experiences:
March 1 deadline
The International Plant Propagators’ Society-Eastern Region Foundation (IPPS-ERF) is proud to introduce a new funding program to
support internship experiences related to nursery production, plant propagation, or plant collections for students or newer (< 5-years of experience) industry workers. Grants are for up to $1,000 to support travel, housing, wages, or educational expenses (such as a conference or specific training) to enhance their overall internship experience. The successful candidate(s) will receive the grant in the form of a reimbursement for expenses incurred during the internship experience. The deadline for submitting a proposal is March 1, 2020.
