UIC researchers look for dental anxiety insights

Researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago are seeking dental health providers caring for patients in the Chicagoland area to complete a brief online survey about their patients’ dental anxiety/phobia and clinic practices to help with dental anxiety.
The survey will not ask for participants' names and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

This research has been granted exemption by the UIC Institutional Review Board as a course-related student project.

New finance leader joins CDS
Keith Tristano, CPA, has joined CDS as the organization's new Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities will include oversight of all financial operations and strategy, information technology and innovation.

Keith comes to CDS from the Residential Real Estate Council, where he served most recently as their Chief Financial and Information Officer for the last 13 years, and previously managed the council's financial management and information systems for 15 years. The RREC is a 28,000-member, non-profit 501(c)6 corporation and is one of the largest affiliates of the National Association of Realtors.

"Keith brings a vast expertise of financial excellence, wealth management, innovation and technology experience with operational and strategic value that will be key in leading the digital and financial transformation for CDS," said Heather Nash, chief executive officer for CDS.
North Side Branch hosts New Dentist Night March 21
The CDS North Side Branch invites all new dentists, 10 years or less from graduation, to attend a free New Dentist Night on Thursday, March 21. 

For the first portion of the program, members of the North Side Branch at various stages of their careers will share the experiences that led them to where they are today. This will be followed by a panel of dental practice experts who will answer questions on buying, financing and setting up a dental practice.
