Announcing $12 million in new Jumpstart Sport Relief Funding
Sport has the power to unite communities and the nation - the spark we'll need more than ever post-pandemic. In its absence, the importance of sport and play has become more apparent than ever. But with ongoing stoppages, the organizations that Canadian kids rely on are more at risk than ever before.
In the final months of 2020, we helped nearly 700 organizations, impacting over 70,000 kids from coast-to-coast-to-coast. Thanks to a generous gift of $12 million from Canadian Tire Corporation to our Sport Relief Fund, we are able to continue to provide much needed financial support to sport organizations to help build back sport and play through 2021.

ParticipACTION's Community Better Challenge
The Community Better Challenge is an annual event that gets Canadians across the country moving together.
The Challenge is open to all organizations, schools, sport groups, and workplaces to participate and track their minutes as a team. All group physical activity counts. Track your in-person or virtual group exercise classes, practices, events or even lunchtime walks starting June 1. Every minute tracked goes toward your community's score.
In the end, one community will earn the top prize of $100,000 and title of being Canada's Most Active Community. In addition to the national winner, there will be prizing for the most active community in each province and territory as well!
Apply for grants and event toolkits to help put on great physical activity events and programs during the Challenge. Complete the application soon, as it closes February 26. Grant guidelines and questions are also available.

Futsal's Road to the 2022 Saskatchewan Winter Games
Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) is proud and excited for Futsal to make its debut in the Saskatchewan Winter Games in 2022. Over the past several years Futsal has been growing in Saskatchewan, and we look forward to continuing grow the game through this tremendous opportunity.
What is Futsal?
Futsal is the only version of the indoor game recognized by FIFA. It is played 5-aside on a smaller, hard court surface, with a low bounce ball that allows each player to make technical and tactical decisions in a productive environment that still encourages the physical and social elements associated with soccer.
Member Call - Intro to Starting a Futsal Program
Member Organizations and individuals interested in starting futsal and supporting the growth of the game in Saskatchewan are welcome to join us on March 4th at 7:00 PM for a Member Call to learn more.
