Outreach & Growth Newsletter

Sarah's Space

Dear ACC,

I am so thankful and continue to feel so much love from you. Thank you to everyone who made this past Sunday's installation possible. My friends and loved ones saw and felt the incredible welcome and kindness from each of you, and I am so honored that you are the community that has called me.

I hold the joy and celebration with the reminder of how imperative the work of outreach and growth, and the work of our church, is to our city. Evictions continue at an alarming rate in Indianapolis, increasing the number of unhoused neighbors in our city. Trans youth in Indiana are now unable to access life-saving care that they need. Now more than ever, the Church is called to be a welcoming community and share the liberating love of Christ with all.

In the coming weeks, the Outreach Committee and newly formed Church Growth Committee will be meeting, and I am excited for both returning leadership and new leadership that will help us vision what is to come for ACC in terms of outreach and church growth. Let us continue to live into our mission of being a welcoming church, and to continue to deepen our relationships with our community, with God, and with each other.

We are in this work together!

With care,

Sarah

We are a host location for the 2024 National Faith + Climate Summit! Help us meet our goal of 15 participants!

If you believe in the moral responsibility to care for creation for the sake of our faith, our congregations, our families, communities, and future generations, join the National Faith + Climate Forum on April 16, 2024 from 12pm noon to 5:15pm Eastern!

Changes in our climate are increasingly impacting congregations, and clergy and lay leaders, like you, are searching for ways to be part of the solution. Deepen your understanding on how to engage your congregation in creation care, work toward just and equitable solutions, and connect with other faith leaders locally and nationally.

ACC is one of the host locations, and we are trying to have at least 15 people registered to attend in-person at the church. Pastor Sarah will be facilitating in-between sessions, and there will be refreshments provided.

For more information, including a draft agenda, and to register for FREE, please visit https://nationalfaithandclimateforum.org/ and be sure to select that you are attending in-person at a host location (Allisonville Christian Church), or if you are unable to join in-person at the church, you can live-stream the forum.
