Join us for a conversation hosted by Annie Hartle, from
Calgary Outlink, and Pepper Laughington, a local transgender woman. We'll learn about Calgary Outlink's resiliency model for providing services and guiding sensitivity training regarding LGBTQ issues, followed by Pepper sharing her personal story of living day-to-day with resilience. Pepper will be available to answer any questions you have regarding transgender issues from her lived experiences and perspectives.
Join us at the Women's Centre to share food in our potluck, enjoy some music from our new Artist in Residence, meet new friends, participate in some great activities, and so much more!
Dr. Ronni Joy Leah, who has taught Women's Studies and Sociology for over 30 years, will lead us in a discussion on ecofeminism, how it is connected to environmental problems, and ways to bridge the gap between nature and culture.
