VOLUME 3. ISSUE 25.
Welcome to Carpe Datum’s weekly newsletter called the Federal Data Prospector (Vol. 3, Issue 25). For the members of our community who reside in the United States, we wish you a happy, belated Memorial Day. Despite the expected holiday-related slowdown of both new business opportunities and relevant news and media coverage from around the world, our proprietary selection and curation engine "levels up" even the slowest of weeks where the content is super thin. Please take look and let us know if you agree.

In other data news, on May 27th, Federal Times published an interesting article entitled, New background investigation initiative will include everyone by end of 2023.  In this article, Jessie Bur describes how the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s (DCSA) new program for continuously monitoring individuals with security clearances, Trusted Workforce 2.0, should have all agencies and contractors onboarded by the end of 2023.

  • “Trusted Workforce 2.0 instead aims to have clearance-holders undergo continuous vetting, meaning that investigation systems are continuously collecting data about individuals to evaluate their security risk. “We want to increase the number of data points that we’re collecting, and we want to make it go across the entire U.S. government workforce. We’re not quite there yet, but we’re well on our way in the last year,” said the DCSA Director, William Lietzau, who was explaining that they currently have about 3 million clearance-holders transitioned onto the Trusted Workforce 1.25 program, an intermediary step on the way to full 2.0 rollout.”
