In other data news, on June 2nd, Government Computer News published an interesting article entitled, Sheriff’s office expands data, video options with digital evidence system.  In this piece, Stephanie Kanowitz describes how a cloud-based digital evidence management system has enabled the Galveston, Texas, Sheriff’s Office to free up terabytes of storage space on its servers and improve collaboration among public-safety agencies and the district attorney’s office.
