In other data news, on October 13th, DefenseScoop published an article entitled Data and AI: How CDAO is accelerating DOD’s mission. In this story, Rob Carey discusses upcoming guidance from the Pentagon's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) on best practices for the Department of Defense's implementation of data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities. It emphasizes the importance of data as the foundation for the success of AI solutions and the need for agile policies to keep pace with technological advancements.

A new report from the Treasury Inspector General For Tax Administration (TIGTA) sheds light on why the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) scrapped plans to use Login.gov as an alternative for taxpayers to identify themselves to utilize IRS tools and services for 2023 tax season.

SEC Urged to Withdraw Predictive Data Analytics Proposal

SIFMA and SIFMA AMG submitted a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the proposed rules that would require the elimination or neutralization of the use of predictive data analytics (PDA) and PDA-like technologies by Broker-Dealers and RIAs. SIFMA strongly urges the Commission not to move forward with the proposed framework, and instead consider more appropriate ways to address potential risks related to the use of PDA-like technologies.

The SDA TAP Lab will announce problem statements related to space domain awareness, threat warning & assessment, and space battle management. Companies will be invited to apply, and if selected, will work in a collaborative cohort.

IWRP Quarterly Industry Day

The government is seeking solutions to collect various data types on multiple afloat platforms for the purpose of monitoring a mix of networks, servers, storage devices, virtual machines, applications, and configurations. Once collected, the solution will need to visualize this collected data with dashboards and alerts locally for system administrator use on the afloat platform, as well as transfer the data over low bandwidth, high latency links, also dealing with Denied, Disrupted, Intermittent, and Limited (DDIL) conditions, to shore for a centralized visualization showing all afloat platforms with the ability to select a single afloat platform and be presented with the specific afloat platform dashboards and alerts.
