Welcome to Carpe Datum’s weekly newsletter, the Federal Data Prospector, the only publication of its kind dedicated exclusively to Data & Analytics companies that share our passion for serving the Public Sector. Our featured items begin with a solicitation from the National Institutes of Health to support their Common Fund Data Ecosystem (CFDE), an infrastructure investment made by NIH to maximize its data-intensive strategies and make data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable across the enterprise.
In other data news, on March 31st, Nextgov published an article entitled White House Launches Strategy to Advance Data Privacy Tech and Processes. In this story, Alexandra Kelley describes how the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) released a report last week entitled “National Strategy to Advance Privacy-Preserving Data Sharing and Analytics” that formalized the administration’s goals to support the research, development, regulation, and application of data collection and analysis solutions while also prioritizing data privacy.
-
“The strategy establishes four guiding pillars that represent the foundation of its approach to privacy and data: crafting PPDSA technologies that protect civil rights, promoting innovation alongside equity, building technologies with accountability mechanisms and minimizing exposure of vulnerable groups.”
