Federation's New Front Door to Jewish Life in Houston!

We are pleased to share that our new Federation website is officially live. The updated site is designed to make it easier for you to find Federation and community-wide events, resources, and opportunities, and to connect more quickly with what matters to you. Throughout the project, we incorporated stakeholder input at each phase with a focus on clarity, usability, and accessibility, particularly across the calendar, navigation, and resource pathways. We hope that you utilize it to stay more connected to Jewish Houston. Come on in at houstonjewish.org.

Women's Philanthropy Spring Lineup

Our Women’s Philanthropy Division has a busy spring with events that appeal to a variety of interests. Recently, a multigenerational group gathered at United Orthodox Synagogues (UOS) for Demystifying the Mikvah, featuring a panel discussion with Lisa Strauss, Laykie Donin, and Rabbi Pam Silk, moderated by Hilary Cohen.

On Sunday, April 12, from 3-5 PM, grandparents, parents, relatives, and friends along with their little ones are invited for Special Friends & Little Hands Challah Bake in partnership with our PJ Library program. Register here.

We also have an exclusive Art Crawl coming up for our Lions of Judah and Pomegranate Society members on April 19. Keep an eye out for details and learn more about our Women’s Philanthropy program here

Your Impact: Interfaith & Multiheritage Families

Through our Local Impact Fund, we are building a sense of belonging for interfaith and multiheritage families in the Houston Jewish community. A $25,000 Local Impact grant funded a Houston cohort of 18 Doors: Interfaith Inclusion Project, where local organizations worked together for nine months to learn about the lived experience of interfaith couples and families and how to deepen their sense of belonging. The Shlenker School participated and Head of School Michelle Barton shared the lessons they learned in a recent article.

80 in 80: One Week to Go

With only one week left of our 80 in 80 Community Challenge, we have raised nearly 70 percent of our 2026 Annual Campaign! Help us achieve our bold goal to raise 80 percent of our Annual Campaign in 80 days! Your gift will make the difference. As One, we can stand with the people of Israel, secure and advocate for our future, deepen Jewish engagement, expand Jewish educational opportunities, and empower our next generation in leading the way. Make your impact today.

Security Reminder

If you see something concerning, say something. It is critical to utilize the SCN Incident Reporting Form to report any antisemitic incidents you know of. Filling out this form allows us to coordinate a response with local law enforcement and Secure Community Network, the official security organization of the Jewish community in North America.
