Call to Action!

We're fighting for Medicaid in Washington

Join our fight from home NOW!

The US Senate approved their budget framework this weekend, moving one step closer to finalizing a federal spending plan that threatens devastating cuts to Medicaid. Read more here.

An advocacy team from The Arc New York is currently in Washington D.C., bringing the fight to preserve Medicaid directly to Capitol Hill.

While we fight in Washington, we're calling on EVERY ONE OF YOU to send a message to Congress NOW!

We've joined with advocates around the country at The Arc US Disability Policy Seminar, to get insight on the Federal landscape, plan a unified and effective response, and meet in person with our congressional representatives to urge them to protect Medicaid.

We need them to understand how critical Medicaid is to people with disabilities, and how devastating the proposed cuts would be to people they represent.

We need YOUR help to show them how many people will be hurt if they don't stand up for Medicaid.

It only takes one minute to reach all of your representatives through The Arc US one-click campaign, so click here to send a letter right now!

If we ALL take one minute, we WILL make an impact.

Want to do more?

The Arc US will be livestreaming a Capitol Rally TOMORROW at 10 am, and our crew from New York will be there fighting! Visit our Facebook page to watch live, and share with your friends to spread the word about the need to preserve vital Medicaid funding!

Also Tomorrow: Join Senator Chuck Schumer and fellow Senate Democrats at a virtual townhall tomorrow at 5 pm to fight against proposed cuts they believe will "harm American children, seniors, people with disabilities, veterans, families, small business owners, and more." Register and share your Medicaid story with them here!

This and all advocacy updates are archived on The Arc New York website for future reference. Please contact us if you have questions regarding any of this information.
