Call to Action:

Help us Share Your Medicaid Story!

As we’ve shared before, your story about the impact of Medicaid cuts is critical to combatting the proposed Federal budget resolution. Many of you have already shared your Medicaid story through our storytelling form, and we are pleased to announce that we have begun to share those stories in a new blog - Medicaid: My Story, and are compiling this and other resources on our Federal Advocacy page. We will be launching a social media campaign soon using featuring your stories about the critical impact of Medicaid supports and what cuts to funding for these essential programs would mean in your lives.

We will continue to share these powerful stories until our fight is over, and we encourage you to share yours here.

Your advocacy is having an impact. Republican members of Congress are learning just how important Medicaid is to many of their constituents, and, in some cases, have been sharing publicly how they plan to protect Medicaid from certain cuts.

But, we still have a long fight ahead of us.

On Mother’s Day, House Republicans released their proposal from the Energy and Commerce Committee. Although it does not include per-capita caps for states, it aims to achieve savings through other means, such as work requirements and cost-sharing for some Medicaid recipients. Recently, Speaker Johnson shared that the House still aims to complete its work by Memorial Day weekend.

Please continue to use the tools we've shared previously and take action!
