The GOP budget bill passed the House on May 22, and is now with the Senate. Majority Leader John Thune wants the Senate to pass their reconciliation bill by July 4. Although that is an aggressive time frame, it is certainly possible.

 

The Congressional Budget Office has said this version of the bill will reduce federal Medicaid spending by $600M over the next 10 years and result in more than 10M people losing their Medicaid benefits.

  2. Call your legislator to tell your story. Leave a message and ask for an appointment. Find your legislator here.
  3. Meet with your representative to explain how devastating Medicaid cuts would be to you and your family, and how reductions to funding in New York will hard you and your family. You can find an info sheet with talking points here.
