Federal Update

Dear Community Partners,

Thank you for your continued support of people with mental health and substance use needs, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and traumatic brain injury.

I know that news about potential federal changes continue to make many people anxious.  Many of you have reached out about reported potential cuts to SAMSHA staff. We don’t have any reports of changes and we continue to work with and attend meetings with our federal partners at SAMSHA.

We also continue to receive all funding on schedule. We are encouraged by the fact that our work has continued uninterrupted. And as you know, congress passed a continuing resolution that supports continued program funding.

We remain committed to our mission to build systems, services, and supports that improve the well-being of all North Carolinians. And our vision remains the same: communities where all are supported to live healthier and happier lives.

We know that federal and state funding is essential to accomplishing our mission and making our vision a reality. We will continue keeping a close eye on any developments and share information with you.

Thank you for all that you do.

My best,

Kelly
