Neighbors,
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government is sending a $600 stimulus payment to eligible Americans earning less than $75,000 a year. Payments started hitting bank accounts this week, and the federal government is working on getting all checks mailed by January 15. If you are eligible, please be on the lookout for your payment. There's information below explaining how to track your payment and what to do if you don't receive a stimulus check.
Once you get your stimulus check, please consider spending some of it at your favorite local business. Nationally, it's estimated that over 100,000 businesses have closed due to the pandemic, and It's been frustrating to watch all kinds of businesses close around Anchorage. These closed businesses represent more than just lost jobs; they represent lost dreams. I'm hopeful the second round of stimulus payments can help keep many struggling businesses afloat until things can return to normal. However, that requires all of us to buy their goods and use their services. If you can afford it, please support your favorite businesses. And if you are able, please consider donating to a local food bank as well.
Iām here to serve you. If you have questions or concerns, please contact my office at

Please be safe,
