kristallnacht

Please join us for our annual Kristallnacht Commemoration at Beth Tzedec Congregation on November 7 at 7:00pm.

Following the ceremony, we invite you to stay for a special screening of 999: The Forgotten Girls, a poignant film that sheds light on the untold stories of women who faced unimaginable challenges during the Holocaust.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the amazing community members who came together for the Voices For Peace concert at Beth Tzedec Congregation this past Sunday. It was a great experience, celebrating the incredible talent that resides within our community. Thank you Paperny Family JCC, Calgary Jewish Federation, Jewish Community Foundation of Calgary, and Beth Tzedec Congregation for being part of this wonderful occasion!

We are excited to announce that registration for the March of the Living 2025 trip is now open! The trip will take place from April 21 – May 4 (dates to be confirmed).

The need for the March of the Living is more important than ever. Through immersive, experiential Holocaust education, students learn about the vibrant Jewish existence in pre-war Europe and the horrors of the Holocaust along with a week in Israel to celebrate the establishment and survival of the country. This experience emboldens and empowers students, providing them with a belonging to something bigger - the shared international Jewish experience. Further details about the March of the Living, including important dates and highlights, can be found here.

Please do not let the cost of the program prevent you from applying. Bursaries are available by emailing Diana Kalef. All things regarding bursaries are dealt with the outmost confidentiality.

It is with great excitement that we welcome Jamie Keltz as Calgary Jewish Federation’s new Emerging Gen Coordinator. Jamie is charged with leading JAC and Calgary Hillel by providing engaging and educational programming for the 18-40 demographics.
