Best wishes and Kol Hakavod to Lil Faider for being honoured by Jewish Family Service Calgary this Sunday at Beth Tzedec at 1:00pm. Lil's long-standing commitment to supporting and advancing Jewish life in Calgary is a shining example of tzedakah.
Our own Karina Szulc, Federation's ShalomYYC and Inclusion Coordinator, presented at the Jewish Federations of Canada’s first Pushing The Boundaries: Disability, Inclusion, and Jewish Community conference in Toronto. Karina spoke about the amazing variety of inclusion programs that she has worked on here in Calgary in the past few years.

Yom Hazikaron and Yom Haaztmaut, are a reflection of the bittersweet evolution of our homeland. We remembered the lives lost in service to Israel, then we celebrated the birth of the Jewish nation, 70 years ago. Live Israeli music from local band Heebros and Friends, Israeli wine, kid's activities, and birthday cupcakes made for a festive atmosphere at the Calgary JCC.
