Are you a Jewish university or college student? Join us for Meet the Prof hosted by Calgary Hillel on Sunday, September 15 at 12:30pm at the Paperny Family JCC! Connect with Jewish professors, engage with fellow students, build your academic network, and strengthen our community on campus.

Later in the day at the JCC, our Hillel students and greater Jewish community are invited to join us from 2:00 to 3:00pm for Let's Make Babka Together. Filled with cinnamon and sugar or chocolate, infuse your home with the sweet aroma of baking babka after making and shaping the dough together. Please register here.

This past Sunday was a huge success for our Calgary Jewish community with two amazing events. In the morning, over 250 people participated in our Welcome to Jewish Calgary event. While community members welcomed newcomers, various Jewish organizations spoke with people about the services they offer and how they can help our new members find a loving, safe, supportive community far away from home. Thank you to every individual – new and old – who came to show our newcomers that Jewish Calgary IS their home. A special todah rabah to our generous donors who made this event possible.

In the evening, the community gathered to hear from Debbie Lechtman, Amy Albertson, and Matthew Nouriel at our 2024 UJA Kick-Off event, Finding Your Voice. The event was truly inspiring, showcasing a range of unique and diverse voices, especially for our younger generation.
