PJ Comes to You

PJ Library® is hopping around town and popping up in your neighbourhood! Join us for PJ Library® Comes to You! on Sunday, January 25, from 12:00 to 1:30pm. We will be at the Seton Library for stories, songs, and a hands-on craft. We will head North on February 22. Don't miss out on the fun! Register online or email Sydney Truax for more information.

IHRD

The Holocaust and Human Rights: Remembrance and Education department of Calgary Jewish Federation and the Calgary Public Library invite you to join us for our International Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemoration: Le Chemin des Juifs - A Survivor's Journey on Tuesday, January 27 at 7:00pm. We encourage you to join in-person for an unforgettable, live experience. However, if you cannot make it to the Central Library, you can also tune-in online. The evening will feature a live performance of the original film score, a screening of Le Chemin des Juifs, and a live Q&A with director Daniel Bhattacharya, moderated by Rabbi Ilana Krygier Lapides. Register for in-person or virtual attendance or contact Amy Glassman-Boiko for more information.

JACFit Does Downhill

Hit the slopes with JAC! Jewish young adults are invited to JACFit Does Downhill for a full day of skiing and snowboarding on Sunday, February 8. We will meet at 9am at Banff Sunshine Village, ride up the gondola together, split into terrain-based groups, and reconnect for lunch and après-ski. Some experience is recommended. Carpooling will be coordinated for those who need it. A perfect way to enjoy winter in the Rockies while building community! View details and register online.

Shalom Baby

Did You Know? Calgary Jewish Federation is committed to building meaningful community connection at every stage of life. Shalom Baby helps us do that for our youngest community members and their families. Through Shalom Baby, we welcome every new baby with a free community gift, ensuring families feel embraced from the very beginning. We also offer a weekly program for babies under two years, every Wednesday at 12:30pm at the Paperny Family JCC. This is a space to begin building friendships for both parents and babies and share the joys and oys of early parenthood. If your family has recently welcomed a new baby, or if you know someone who has, please contact Sydney Truax, so we can ensure every new community member feels welcomed into Jewish Calgary.
