On Thursday, March 5, Jewish Adult Calgary (JAC) and Beth Tzedec’s 20’s to 40’s group will celebrate Purim by joining forces with the Soup Sisters to provide home-cooked meals for our community’s most vulnerable. Starting at 6:00pm in the Beth Tzedec Congregation kitchen, participants will cook and prepare nourishing soup to donate to Jewish Family Service CalgaryGo online to learn more and register. Registration is free, but space is limited. Contact Emerging Gen Coordinator Danielle Braitman, for more information on this event and other JAC programs and initiatives. 
Shalom Baby playgroups are now in full swing! The first two playgroups of the year took place on February 4 and 18. Parents and caregivers gathered together at the JCC to share the joys and oys of parenthood while kicking back with a snack and a cup of coffee. Are you caring for a child under two years of age? Yasher Koach to the young philanthropists at The Calgary Jewish Academy (CJA) who raised $500 for the 2019 United Jewish Appeal (UJA) Campaign. Each year, CJA's Student Council learn about the vital impact of funding provided to the school and greater community. As part of the fundraiser, Student Council motivated their peers by having them enter a draw to spend the day as the principal, administrative assistant, physical education or robotics teacher. Calgary Jewish Federation thanks and commends CJA students for their incredible efforts!
