Canada’s Jewish community is at a defining moment—and being counted has never mattered more. Starting May 4, the 2026 National Census begins. In recent years, Jewish Canadians have been significantly undercounted, with real consequences. When we’re undercounted, we’re underrepresented in public policy, funding decisions, and the allocation of critical resources—including those needed to address antisemitism and strengthen community security. If you identify as Jewish, be sure to write “Jewish” for Questions 23 and 30. Statistics Canada 2026 National Census as soon as it arrives, and encourage your friends, family, and networks to do the same. The next census won’t take place until 2031. Every response strengthens our collective voice.
