Kol Hakavod to Max and Maddie (perhaps our youngest UJA donors) for filling their UJA tzedakah boxes and sharing their good fortune with others! If you would like to have a UJA tzedakah box for your family, give us a call at 403-444-3157! Every gift counts, every gift supports our community! Everyone Counts!
Vat a vay to lunch a UJA campaign! A shaynem dank to Eli Batalion and Jamie Elman of YidLife Crisis for an edgy, Yiddishy, hilarious and thought-provoking evening. Thank you to Zeev Berger and the Shmoozers for music, and Linda Gutman and Joy Feldman from Lipshtik, appearing as Yenta and Shmenta.
Six members of Calgary Jewish Federation’s Community Relations Committee enjoyed an afternoon at the Dashmesh Cultural Centre on October 2, learning about Sikhism and building bridges to another faith community. Our Sikh hosts were most gracious in sharing information about their religion and culture, as well as a delicious vegetarian meal!
"The Jewish Journey of a Nazi's Son" is an event you must not miss! Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger will recount his amazing life journey on Sunday, October 22. Purchase admission online for $18 ($9 for students). Donations with tributes in the program booklet, in support of Federation's Holocaust and Human Rights initiatives, can also be made online.
