Earlier this week, Chabad Alberta hosted its 36th Annual Menorah Lighting at City Hall, bringing the community together for a night of light, music, and celebration. A huge toda rabah to Rabbi and Rochel Matusof, Chabad Alberta, and all the community leaders and dignitaries who helped make this event so special. We’re also grateful to Calgary Police Services for their support.

The evening featured a performance by Camp Gan Israel, beautiful live music by Steven Klevsky and Helena Barker, and fun activities for the kids.

It was a night of unity, light, and Chanukah spirit—filling the air with Jewish joy and bringing warmth to all. Thank you to everyone who joined our community and helped make this event so memorable!

We are thrilled to officially welcome Rob Nagus as the new CEO of Calgary Jewish Federation. With his experience and dedication to Jewish communal work, we are confident that Rob will make a positive impact.
