Just as our volunteer Board of Directors welcomes Jared Shore and Jordan Balaban as Co-Presidents, we also acknowledge Yannai Segal's move to Past-President and thank him for his tireless work over the last three years. Yannai has given generously of his talent and time for the betterment of our community. He has stewarded us through some challenging times, not the least of which was the onset of the current pandemic. You will have likely seen Yannai at many community events over the years, and certainly have read some of his insightful messages. We thank the entire Segal family for enabling Yannai to give so much of himself, and we are certain he will continue to contribute in meaningful ways to Jewish Calgary. We will find an appropriate time and way to recognize Yannai at a future event. In the meantime, we all say Todah Rabah and Yasher Koach!
The 2020 UJA Campaign is in full swing! Your gift to community makes a difference and this year, all our local organizations have the opportunity for a helping hand through the Jewish Together Fund. A portion of your increased gift will support the fund which will be open for grant applications soon. Together We Can accomplish what no one individual can do on their own. You can make your donation online, by email or call Diana Kalef at 403-444-3154.
What will your Jewish legacy be? In one way or another, your life is rooted in experiences connecting you to Jewish community. Chances are you already support local Jewish organizations but have you included them in your will or estate plan? By leaving a legacy gift, your cherished Jewish organizations will be part of our community for generations. Now is the time to sign your Letter of Intent (LOI) to ensure the future of Jewish Calgary. For more information, contact Diana Kalef.
What will you do this New Year? Across our community, at home and around the world, many of our brothers and sisters are struggling. Each hoping with their whole heart for a brighter new year. While we can't know what this year will bring, we can pray for a better one than last. Click here to view our video.
