On November 9, over 200 people gathered at Beth Tzedec Congregation for our community's annual Kristallnacht Commemoration. The evening included a solemn candle lighting ceremony led by Holocaust survivor descendants and a survivor, with prayers and anthems led by Rabbi Russell Jayne, followed by a screening of the documentary, The Last Twins. This program was proudly presented in-partnership with Calgary Jewish Federation’s Holocaust and Human Rights: Remembrance and Education department and the Beth Tzedec Calgary Jewish Film Festival. Todah rabah to everyone who made this meaningful evening possible, including our candle lighters, Rabbi Jayne, Harvey Cyngiser, and Jennifer Girvitz.

This past Saturday night's JAC Am Echad, Lev Echad – Israeli Dance Party was a huge success, bringing together over 100 young adults for an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and community. The energy was incredible, the dance floor was packed, and together we were "one people and one heart"; raising $2,378 for Calgary Jewish Federation's UJA Campaign — directly supporting Jewish life in Calgary. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night so meaningful and fun!
