As students return to school and university campuses, we are committed to ensuring they are equipped to address the potential challenges they might face, including issues of antisemitism. Calgary Jewish Federation has joined with other partners to offer Back to School Antisemitism Training for Students & Parents on Sunday, September 12 at 12pm MDT (via Zoom). Register for this free initiative supported by Maspik and led by Hasbara Fellowships Canada. Maspik is a project of CIJA and JNF Canada, and brings together a coalition of organizations committed to combatting antisemitism in all of its forms.
Care about democracy? Please join CIJA and The Canadian Jewish News for a Federal E-lection Debate on issues of importance to the Canadian Jewish community on Monday, September 13 at 7:30pm EDT. You are invited to submit a video question to the candidates in English, French, Hebrew, or Russian. Register to watch the debate.
Together We are Resilient. Our community stepped up at the onset of the pandemic to meet the needs of Jewish Calgary by providing financial support through the Jewish Together Fund. From adapted, virtual programming and one-on-one support, to hot Kosher meals and care packages, you can be proud of how far we have come. But we are not done. Your UJA gift is vital as we continue to recover and adjust to new challenges. Donate today to support all that our community has to offer.
