Did You Know? This Passover, volunteers and staff of Calgary Jewish Federation's Holocaust and Human Rights: Remembrance and Education department brought joy to 30 Holocaust survivors in our community with Pesach gift bags. Each hand-delivered gift (often accompanied by a friendly visit) contained a two-piece afikomen set, a box of matzah, grape juice, and a personalized card. Special thanks to our volunteers, especially Sandi Sander for assembling the kits, and Vyetta and Tony Sunderland for sponsoring this initiative, and for delivering most of the kits. If you would like to volunteer with the Holocaust Education department, or learn more about how you can positively impact a Holocaust survivor, contact Amy Glassman-Boiko.
