Together We are Inclusive. Programs such as Kesher increase quality of life for individuals with disabilities and support those who love them by providing recreation, cultural connections, and friendships. Through the Integrated Bursary Program (IBP), income never has to be a barrier to participation in formative Jewish experiences such as camp or dayschool. As well, participation in events such as Calgary Pride sends a message of acceptance to LGBTQ+ in our community. Your UJA gift is vital as we continue to recover and adjust to new challenges. Donate today to support all that our community has to offer.

We would like to remind you that you can still register for free to attend the Calgary Jewish Federation and Jewish Federation of Edmonton UJA 2021 Campaign Launch with guess speaker Yossi Klein Halevi, this Sunday, September 19 at 11:30am.
The Federal election is this Monday, September 20 and it is important for each of us to exercise our voice. As such, please remember that Sukkot begins that night at sundown, so plan in advance to cast your vote. Visit the Elections Canada website to get all the information you need to vote.
Your Voice Matters! On Monday, October 18, Calgarians will be voting for our next group of municipal leaders. In an effort to help our top mayoral candidates better understand the unique needs of our community, Calgary Jewish Federation and the Community Relations Committee have created an opportunity to address concerns specific to the Jewish population. We invite you to submit your questions by Friday, September 24 for us to collate and ask the participating candidates. Their responses will then be posted on Thursday, October 12 – viewable on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and through an emailed link for community members to view.
We are very proud of our advocacy partner CIJA, who played a supportive role evacuating 41 Afghan women, girls, and families, including 25 members of the Afghanistan women's cycling team. They worked behind the scenes, engaging Canadian government contacts to help IsraAID with the evacuations. Read the full story here. CIJA is supported by Calgary Jewish Federation in partnership with Federations from across Canada, and is our lead national advocacy and security agency.
Building an inclusive community is our priority. Contact us and we will make every effort to meet your needs.
