Mazel tov to JFSC (Jewish Family Service Calgary) on receiving the Alberta Minister's Senior Service Award in the Non-Profit Category for "Outstanding Commitment to Alberta Seniors." This award pays tribute to the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations who have exemplified leadership and compassion in serving seniors and their communities. We are so proud of our partner agency on this wonderful honour – kol hakavod!
Mazel tov to mayor-elect, Jyoti Gondek on her recent election to lead our great city. We are looking forward to working with you! We also acknowledge the meaningful work our community has done with Mayor Naheed Nenshi, Councillor Diane Colley-Urquhart and Councillor Jeromy Farkas. We thank them for their dedication to our community and to building a more cohesive and caring Calgary. We say kol hakavod and todah rabah, and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.
Together We are Strong. This spring, as rockets rained down on our brothers and sisters in Israel, Jews in the diaspora faced one of the worst spikes in antisemitism in the last decade – especially our students and young people. Events like this are something that our community grapples with on an ongoing basis. However, through providing vitally important programs year-round such as community security, government relations initiatives, and support programs for students and young people (such as Hillel Calgary), your UJA gift continues to provide our community with the resources it needs to stay strong, safe, and united even in the most difficult situations. Your UJA gift is vital. Donate today.
Building an inclusive community is our priority. Contact us and we will make every effort to meet your needs.
