Six families from our community shared Chanukah traditions with our Sikh friends on December 17. The celebration was a follow up to a visit to the Dashmesh Culture Centre on October 2nd. This was part of Federation's ongoing effort to make connections to other cultural communities and promote mutual understanding.
Just in time for Chanukah, members of the Jewish community filled the Clayground on December 17th for an inclusive pottery painting session, hosted by Federation's Kesher program . The resulting colourful chanukiyas and latke plates surely brightened up many homes for the holiday of lights.
Good news for 27 to 32-year-olds! Now you can go on a free trip to the Holy Land with Birthright Israel ! Birthright has opened up a trip from June 27-July 5 for those just beyond the usual 18-26 age limit. Early-bird registration opens January 29, but only if you sign up here first .
