Good morning. This past Sunday morning, Community
Daniella Buchshtaber and UD Hillel Israel Fellow, Noam Gliksman, visited the Seaside Jewish Community Hebrew School in Rehoboth Beach. I also gave a presentation on Sunday morning to Congregation Beth Emeth's 7th Grade Hebrew School about Federation and philanthropy.
On Monday morning our JCRC leadership met with Senator Chris Coons as part of our ongoing relationship-building efforts. We sincerely appreciate the Senator's continued support of our advocacy efforts as well as his unwavering support of Israel.
Daniella Buchshtaber and I were virtually introduced to our new Partnership2Gether Coordinator, Reut Bendet didi on Tuesday. Reut will be assisting Delaware in continuing our 20+ year relationship with Arad. In the evening Federation in collaboration with the Siegel JCC brought national recording artist, Distant Cousins, to Delaware as part of their mini-East Coast Tour. More than 75 attendees enjoyed the band's folk/pop music in a wonderful setting at Wilmington Brew Works. Special thanks to the Danielle Rose Paikin Foundation for their generous support in making this vision become a reality.
I hope to see many of you this evening at Chabad of Delaware to celebrate Shabbat and learn from guest speaker, Ari Sacher, who was born in Wilmington and was the primary engineer for the Israeli Iron Dome Missile Defense system. You can also learn from Tova Sacher, Midrashic scholar and Doctoral Fellow at Haifa University, at Chabad of Delaware on Saturday at 12:30pm.
Please also be reminded of our next program in collaboration with Hagley on Thursday, March 7th at 7pm for an Author Talk with Hasia Diner, author of "
Julius Rosenwald: Repairing the World"
, from Sears Executive to Passionate Philanthropist.
