Federation’s Board of Directors met in the evening under the leadership of Board Chair, Caryl Marcus-Stape. The Board approved Audit recommendations under the leadership of Audit Chair, Barbara Schoenberg, as well as our updated Employee Manual under the leadership of HR Chair, Mitch Steinberg.

I met Shoshi Ponczak, Director/Maryland Chapter of Friends of the IDF (FIDF), the sole organization authorized to collect charitable donations on behalf of the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces across the United States of America.
Federation’s Israel & Overseas Committee Chair, Lelaine Nemser, and I zoomed with the Mayor and Assistant Mayor of Mitzpe Ramon in Israel. We learned more about the municipality and its current challenges living in the Negev.

Israel was awash in orange this morning as the Bibas family held a private funeral for Shiri, Ariel and Kfir, the mother and young sons murdered in captivity in Gaza. In the evening, I virtually attended the Stand Out Against Hate (SOAH) Community Meeting, held at the Lewes Library. The 27-minute film, "Not in Our Town - Billings, Montana" was screened followed by a discussion from the audience led by Jeff Balk, Radio Rehoboth. Click here to watch the film. SOAH’s goal is to make “No hate here” a reality in Delaware. All who are against hate are welcome to join SOAH.

With the return of the bodies of Itzik Elgarat, Ohad Yahalomi, Shlomo Mantzur, Tsachi Idan, Israel has now received all 33 hostages to be handed over in the first phase of the ceasefire deal.
I attended a Delaware Nonprofit CEO Connections breakfast held at the Siegel JCC on Thursday morning. The program was co-sponsored by the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA) and the United Way of Delaware to foster collaboration and build stronger connections in our sector.
In the evening, our Delaware Lions of Judah met at the home of Barb Blumberg for an International Lion of Judah Conference gathering to relive the shared memories and celebrate Women’s Philanthropy.
