Where's Federico Flying this Weekend?

Like Tolstoy in his late life and Kierkegaard in his youth, I’ve found myself reading the Bible again. Though a bird of flowery language, I appreciate its concision: they left, he wept, it was good — no need to overcomplicate the infallible. Thus, it only seems natural that we take a pilgrimage to a home that could have come straight from the Good Book.

The land on which the Good Residence sits is an Eden unto itself: secluded and lush with old growth trees and native plants. Designed by Grillias, Savage, Alves & Associates and built in 1961, the home utilizes sleek Mid-century modern lines and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows to minimize its presence against the landscape and invite the ever bending foliage into the living space. The interior’s floors, cabinets, and built-ins are similarly simple — a design choice that emphasizes the beauty in its unfussy wood paneling — and the living room’s raised fire pit focal point lends the space an ancient sanctity.

I know the Evangelists who wrote the Bible would shudder at my use of so many adjectives for a home of such transcendent transparency, so let me say this: I saw the home at 2943 S Citrus Street and it was Good.
