Remaining Fee Payment Method
To pay for a custom amount for an upcoming trip or a fee minus a scholarship/student account please use the " Donate " button at the bottom of the payment page. Remember to list your student's name and name of the fee so we can keep track.

For example, my daughter sold $150 of chocolate. She asked Jill to put $150 from her student account towards her trip fee for NYC. I now need to go online and subtract $150 from the final payment amount of $475. I click "Donate" on the link above, and pay the remaining amount of $325. I put her name in the notes and NYC so Jill can keep the books organized.

Orchestra
The Ballard Beavers were representing big time at this year’s Wintergrass Festival at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency.

Wednesday-Friday, the Wintergrass Youth Academy was well served by Anika Thompson and Ava Sanderson in their roles as Youth Academy Teachers in Training (YATTs). On Saturday evening, the BHS Fiddlers, led by Lee Callender and Jimmy Hall wowed the audience with their dexterity during the MOX (Musicians of Excellence) showcase and square dance. On Saturday and Sunday, the BHS Symphonic Orchestra, plus Colin Dunlap (cello), Ava Sanderson (2 nd  Violin Section Leader) and Anika Thompson (Concertmaster) were joined by the SPU Orchestra, and other region teens for a blowout performance on the Wintergrass main stage as the “Wintergrass Youth Orchestra,” conducted by renowned conductor and educator Bob Phillips, and a bucket-list of guest stars:
  • Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn
  • Mike Block and Balla Kouyate
  • The Kruger Brothers
  • Trio Brasileiro
Needless to say, this entire week was EPIC, and Ballard strings students were front and center.
