Feed My Lambs

Dear Ministry Partner,

“…Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” …” John 21:15-17

I have worked in remote areas with the Bru tribe church leaders, who had an animism background. When they converted and became Christians, they defined the word “love” in a different way. A pastor, who was my student, confessed to me that when a non-Christian asked him to show God's love to him, the pastor said that he could not show and explain God’s love to that non-Christian.

I believe that most of those church leaders love God; they have the heart of love for God. But in the role of leadership, the love for God is a basic Christian habit, but not enough to be a leader as a shepherd. Leaders must understand what God’s love is, how to love God, how to love God’s people and how to lead God’s people in the right way. Only a Christian education is the answer; for these leaders must know and understand the Word of God before teaching others.

This is what CCI brings to them. When CCI becomes known among church leaders, most of them realized that they need to devote themselves to studying and they register to participant in the CCI program. And now we have opened two new classes with 32 church leaders.

We confess that God wants us to love Him and if we love Him, we will sacrifice our love for His mission. First be a disciple and then a disciple maker.

We appreciate you, your prayers and support.

Staff Update

The National Director continues to visit the class in western Laos class to assist Pastor S. He went to help open the new class and teach on August 8 -12:

  • Pastor S continues to teach his CCI class on book #2: Old Testament Survey.

  • Pastor Si is trying to recruit the church leaders to participant in CCI training.

  • Pastor K has opened a new class on August 8, 2022 with 18 students.

Please pray for these pastors and church leaders, that they will learn effectively for fruitful ministry. May they be renewed and challenged on their vision, calling, and commitment to God’s Kingdom work.

Testimony

"I am Mr. O, I serve as the youth leader at a church and I just graduated last June. Before I studied with the CCI class that was taught by the National Director, I tried to serve God the best that I could and was so religious. I thought I knew more than others. But when I studied with CCI, I realized that I know nothing about Christian leadership. And now my life has changed. I am careful to use the Word of God and live in that Word before I teach others. Thank God for CCI and the Laos National Director, who gave me the opportunity to have this learning."
