FTN SCHOOL PANTRIES GET REFRIGERATORS!!
Feed The Need’s goal to stamp out hunger in Putnam County continues 3 years after forming a nonprofit. One of the goals of FTN has been to provide refrigerators to all the school pantries so that cold foods could be rescued when possible. Items such as milk, yogurt, fruit, or anything that can be rescued, sent home with, or utilized during the day to provide additional food to hungry students. FTN Executive Director Denise Bramlitt wrote a grant for the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida in Jacksonville, FL and was awarded $7,500.00 in funds to provide refrigerators to 14 schools in Putnam County. Thank you to everyone who continues to provide support and awareness to our FTN vision that no child, no matter their background, should have to go hungry. The children right here in our community should not have to bear the burden of hunger. A big shout out to Badcock’s in Palatka for partnering with FTN to supply refrigerators and deliver them to the schools. Remember to shop local and support local businesses. We are all in this together!! All Hungry Children Lives Matter!!
