Due to the increase in jobless families, the Clay Electric Foundation has granted $50,000 in emergency Operation Round Up funding to 10 area organizations providing food to those in need. The organizations selected to receive $5,000 each are: The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs; Marion Senior Services; Food Bridge of Middleburg United Methodist Church; Catholic Charities Lake City; Waste Not Florida; Hawthorne Area Resource Center; Interfaith Emergency Services; Lake Area Ministries Food Pantry; Feed the Need of Putnam County; and Bread of the Mighty Food Bank.
