Join us for special champagne and dessert reception at the Armory Art Center to view this fine art exhibition of original paintings and drawings by artist Mark L. Cohen, based on photos of the Holocaust. This exhibition and educational initiative was made possible by National Endowment for the Arts, Culture Builds Florida, and South Arts.
Locked away in a crate for several decades until its recent public unveiling, a grave marker in Memphis revealed a little-known fact about one of America’s most iconic figures of the 20th century. Elvis Presley, the King of Rock & Roll, had Jewish roots.
In this highly virtual visual presentation, travel writer Dan Fellner will take you to Elvis’ birthplace in Mississippi and to the Graceland mansion in Memphis, to uncover the secrets of Elvis’ surprising connection to Judaism. Mark the 45th anniversary of Elvis’ death with this fascinating glimpse into his life and the multiculturalism that inspired his music.

We acknowledge and thank all of our members, friends, and supporters of L'Dor Va-Dor, to Rabbi Barry Silver, and in support of the lawsuit for abortion rights. We are very grateful.
We welcome you all to join us at The Mariposa, 9130 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth (the SW corner of Hypoluxo and Lyons Roads, just west of the Florida Turnpike overpass). We have an exciting Shabbat, filled with music, joy, and inspiring words and songs in store for you. You can join us live or virtually, your choice! We welcome you as family and hope to see you soon!
Just to let you know ... The Mariposa has put an ending date on our weekly Shabbat services there as of the end of August, 2022. Our August 26th service will be the last one in this location for now. We have arranged to return to The Carlisle Palm Beach independent living facility, 450 East Ocean Avenue, Lantana, Florida, as of Friday, September 2, 2022. We will hold services at The Carlisle for September. All services at The Carlisle will begin at 7:00 pm ET on Fridays. We continue to look for other locations and ask for you to do so as well please, so that we can find a place or space where we can meet that is geographically convenient for our members and guests. The Mariposa gave the reasons that the Addision Auditorium, the room we use there for Shabbat, is not large enough to accomodate their residents and our L'Dor Va-Dor members and guests that wish to celebrate Shabbat at the same time. We apologize for this inconvenience and look forward to your continuing to support us and attend and participate in our upcoming Shabbats!
|
Wishing you all much good health, much happiness, and a lot of peace and shalom for you and your loved ones!
With Shalom and Peace,
Sharon Leibovitz
