Hello!

It's the month of love, and we're celebrating!

For many of us, holding loved ones close may be our regular source of comfort, but during hard times, the love of our communities is what sustains us and supports us. This love shows up in all kinds of ways, and we're inviting you to join in on it!

This month, we’re celebrating the many ways Price Hill shows up for each other. You’ll find opportunities to care for your neighbors, uplift local families, and share in the joy of giving back. Whether you’re planning to help at our Spring Health Fair, cheer on and support the POP program’s powerful progress, or raise a glass at Cheers for Charity, we hope you’ll feel the love in every action.

The Spring Health Fair is BACK!

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, Santa Maria will host its annual Spring Health Fair at ARCO Cincy (3301 Price Ave) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and we’re inviting you to be part of it.

This event offers free health services for the Price Hill community, including physical health exams, screenings, wellness activities, food, and help with public benefits. It’s all about access, dignity, and care, and it wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of people like you.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Volunteer: Greet guests, serve lunch, or help with logistics. Every helping hand makes a difference. Visit SantaMaria-Cincy.org/volunteer to learn more.

  • Spread the Word: Share the flyer online by visiting @SantaMariaCincy on Facebook or Instagram, or tell someone who could benefit from free screenings and support.

We’re grateful to our sponsors, the Academy of Medicine and Cincy-Cinco, and to our current confirmed Health Fair partners, Freestore Foodbank and TriHealth, for helping us provide these meaningful services.

Together, we can meet people where they are and make health a little more accessible for everyone.

Promoting Our Preschoolers Evaluation

Santa Maria recently commissioned an external evaluation of its Promoting Our Preschoolers (POP) program through the University of Cincinnati’s Arlitt Child and Family Research Education Center, and the results are both affirming and inspiring.

Funded by Millstone Fund, the study used more than a decade of data, family feedback, and educator observations to measure POP’s impact on children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers in Price Hill. Findings showed:

  • Significant developmental gains in children’s motor, social, and conceptual skills

  • Stronger parenting behaviors that support early learning

  • Great improvements for families who began the program with the most challenges

The study also recognized the vital role of POP family support workers, who go beyond school readiness to connect families with housing, health care, and basic needs.

One key insight was that children entering with lower language skills, especially those who are multilingual learners, experienced slower growth in that area. This is something POP is already addressing with enhanced speech and language development support.

This evaluation confirms what we see in living rooms, classrooms, and community spaces every day: POP is giving children the strong start they deserve and walking alongside families as they build a brighter future.

Raise a Glass,

Support a Cause

Join us on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m. at West Side Brewing for an evening that gives back!

West Side Brewing is one of Cincinnati’s beloved local breweries with more than 30 tap choices, including traditional ales, crisp lagers, hoppy IPAs, and refreshing ciders alongside wine and soft drink options. You might find a smooth Hefeweizen, a bold Double IPA, a light Common Ale, a fruity hard cider, or seasonal specialties depending on the day. They also serve pizza and snacks through Catch‑a‑Fire Pizza to pair with your drink.

During Cheers for Charity, 20% of all sales will be donated to Santa Maria to support our work with families in Greater Price Hill. Come enjoy a drink, enter to win raffle prizes, and connect with others who care about community health and opportunity.

Bring your friends, share a toast, and make a difference while sampling local brews. 🍻
