Charlestown Coalition FY'18'
Each year, the Charlestown Coalition develops a work-plan outlining the goals and objectives, strategies, and activities we'll need to undertake to achieve these goals. The Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), administered by MGH every three years, helps   to guide the work the coalition should focus on, along with the support of the coalition members.

2018 was a very successful year for the coalition. This  report  shows the work we undertook in Fiscal Year '18 (October 1, 2017-September 30, 2018) by priority area and the results of our efforts. View this report and others on the Coalition's  Data Reports page.

Can You Feel the Love?
Turn It Around Does!

Turn It Around members got better acquainted with the new Youth
Prevention Coordinator, Mswati Hanks, by doing all kinds of fun icebreakers and activities in February.

During one meeting, the group made "love" jars and received anonymous notes from their peers about why they love them. It was incredibly heartwarming to see how compassionate, sensitive, and loving our youth members are.

Turn It Around :
Youth of the Month
Fatima F.

Fatima is our February Turn It Around Youth of the Month."Fatima exemplifies EVERYTHING that we would want our youth at Turn It Around to aspire to be. As one of the older members of the program, she has always led by example. She is currently a freshman at Northeastern University, with plans to go to Med school after. She also has a very strong sense of community and family. She is very supportive to her mother and younger siblings, as well as other extended family members. She is well respected by all of her peers, and for that reason has recently been named Senior Peer Leader, the highest position a youth can achieve at Turn It Around."
